So whats so fancy about a greenhouse?
These are not just any old ordinary greenhouses. We took all of the best technology in the industry, all the dreams of our staff and other people around the world and said "Lets make it happen!"
So that poses the next question. What happens when you mix, aquaponics, vertical farming, solar energy, geothermal heat, vermiculture and a crazy physicist? You get the most efficient and eco friendly smart farm the world has ever seen. We call them Earthship Vertical Aquaponics Smartfarms or E.V.A.S. |
These greenhouses are outfitted to be completely climate neutral. Whether its the Sahara Desert or the Arctic Tundra, E.V.A.S are up to the task of growing food.
They use from 10% to as low as 1% of the water compared to traditional farming depending on the region. The built in Solar and Wind energy makes them "off the grid" facilities. Their ergonomic design allows them to blend in with the environment looking like rolling hills so they are friendly for nature and the human eye. To top that off nearly all the systems are automated making them an ease to run. |
Purpose:
Aside from the obvious use for growing food, E.V.A.S. serve multiple purposes for the communities where they are built. Having local production of highly nutritious food is one of the primaries here but what does that mean? Local food production cuts down on an ever increasing carbon foot print surrounding food production. Without the need to ship your produce across the country E.V.A.S. automatically reduce usage of fossil fuels. Local production also means a stronger local economy. As everyone knows the economy in America right now is in a seemingly never ending slump. With Tree Of Life Organics in your community you get high paying jobs, cheaper/healthier food, and a business that keeps giving back to the local area. Education for a Generation is important for sustaining the future of our planet. Tree Of Life Organics uses some of its profits to work with local Schools to provide education programs about farming, energy production and planetary health.
Where State level programs can't afford (or won't) pay for programs that are important to the success of our future generations, we will. In every area that there is an E.V.A.S. facility there there will be a highly skilled committee designated to building local education programs and teaching our children how to create a better future for themselves. We understand that if we really want to change the world then the place you have to strike hardest is in educating those who will inherit it. Local Energy Production is the next big bonus of these facilities. Currently we are seeing a race around the globe to find the next big thing in sustainable energy production. The crazy thing is, we already have all the tools and technology to provide clean sustainable energy all over the planet.
Our facilities use leading energy technologies, like Solar Sterling engines, Archimedes Wind Turbines, and soon, Solar Roadways. With the combination of these technologies we turn the "wasted space" on the facilities grounds to produce clean renewable energy. The greenhouse itself is designed to be highly energy efficient so most of this power is available to be pumped right back into the local grid. Local energy production is not only better on the environment by using natural power sources like the Sun and Wind, but is also more stable and not as susceptible to disasters like Solar Flares or major energy plant malfunctions. Since everything is designed on a micro scale, they are easy to monitor and maintain . Water Conservation is last on our list here but is one of the most important issues we are tackling. Currently the Colorado River is drained so much from Irrigation or farmers fields that it is completely drained before it reaches the Pacific Ocean.
Our water resources on this Planet are a vital part of all creatures and plants survival and we are draining them quickly. Some of the leading factors in this are irrigation, damage from fossil fuels and nuclear energy, and plastic waste littering our lakes and oceans everywhere. E.V.A.S. utilized as low as 1% of the water to grow crops when compared to traditional farming. Our facilities avoid using plastics everywhere they can, such as shipping materials and processing in the greenhouse. Clean energy production is not a threat to water supplies and lowers the demand for other damaging production measures. We can also process rainwater and local water supplies to provide safe clean drinking water in areas where it might be hard to come by. |
All these things combined provide a simple solution to an array of problems facing humanity.
We're going to change the world and we know it really is as simple as doing it.
